How to Speed Up Computer

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my site. My name is William Malbaurn and I created this website in order to share with you my journey in reviving and speeding up my computer.

I got myself a brand new computer in January with the the latest and top of the line hardware. I was long overdue for a new computer, as my last one was running a Windows 98 operating system and was falling apart lol. I immediately fell in love with my brand new spankin’ PC! I could literally do everything, run tens of applications at the same time, play the latest and hardware intensive games, it was a dream come true.

All of the sudden however, my computer started to lag. Nothing major really, but after investing over $1500, the slowdown has definitely caught my attention. I called my brother who is a software engineer and asked him what he would suggest for me to do. Terry, my brother, suggested that I do nothing and see if the slowdown goes away. From this point on, I took it relatively easy on my computer, I tried not to overwhelm it by running many applications at the same time. That seemed to do the work…or so I thought.

Progressively, my computer became slower and slower to the point where I would not even use it anymore. It was so bad that it virtually took me 20 minutes to open up my e-mail. Every time I would use Word to type in a document, the system seemed to lag resulting in enormous frasturations.

So I went online and tried to find a reasonable solution to my problem. I read different forums and articles, it seemed like the culprit was a virus/trojan somewhere on my computer, as well as adware in my registry. I downloaded the trial version of Norton AntiVirus in hopes of speeding up my computer. Unfortunately, my computer slowed down even further, if that was even possible. I also downloaded the McAfee AntiVirus, but the software ended up removing some of my photographs and documents. I was outraged to say the least.

After uninstalling both Symantec Norton Antivirus and McAfee AntiVirus, I took my system to the repair shop. They told me I have two options, one being reformatting and second being the use of Registry Easy to clean up any viruses, trojans and adware I had on my computer as well as restore the registry to its optimal level. As frasturated as I was, I was more inclined to format, however, that was an expensive ordeal for me as I had to pay for them to restore the entire system as well. The technician assured me that the use of Registry Easy would solve my problems and I believed him. As soon as I installed the software and performed the scan, I removed more than 200 adware, trojans and viruses from my computer. Upon restarting the system, I was simply shocked and amazed at how faster my computer worked. In fact, it is so fast now, I think the speed is at the very least, comparable to when I just bought my computer. Simply phenomenal.
