I was so frustrated that I almost picked up my computer and smashed it. My computer seemed to be getting slower by the day. I was continuously receiving unknown errors that wouldn’t close, my Internet browser was overwhelmed with ridiculous pop-ups and I saw “the blue screen of death” so often, I began to think that we had become friends or something. Web pages took forever to load, even though I was running high-speed DSL, and simple programs sometimes took minutes to load.
My computer was a nightmare, and trying to use the darn thing was even scarier. I was so fed up with trying to actually do what I wanted with my computer that I was ready to give up, turn it in for a new one like I had done before and just start over. So, I talked to friends who said, “Oh, you’re have a problem with computer speed? Well I use Symantec Anti-virus and I think that it’s helping me.”
So I tried it, but there was no change. Actually, I think that loading that bulky program onto my PC actually made my computer slow down even more.
So, I turned to the great guru Google. I typed in searches like, “speed windows”, and “speed up my computer”, but I kept being referred to programs like McAfee and Norton, which just never seemed to speed up my computer at all.
I felt so discouraged. I realized that after all of my efforts, I still didn’t know how to speed up my computer.
I kind of gave up for a few days, but decided to try one last time. Where was that simple program that could take care of my problem?
Then, I came across a website called test. I began to read the description of the program that they were offering and the symptoms that it treats and almost jumped out my chair!
